100 Miles to Tonga

The seas have quieted down a bit, though we still have about 20 kts from DDW. This puts us into Tonga in the dark, so we have to figure out how to slow the boat down even more, as we already have both reefs in the main (we only have two on Piko, but both are much deeper than typical) and no headsail. I think we are going to sail around the north end of the island and get out of the swell and then heave to for the remainder of the morning until the sun comes up… I am still working on the whole sail the boat slower thing, which does not come easy!
